The Motor Sports Association’s on-going fight to overturn new Government legislation that could wipe out over 40 per cent of all UK motor sport events will be highlighted on BBC Radio 4’s ‘You & Yours’ programme this afternoon Wednesday 11 May between 12.00-13.00.
The MSA, the governing body of British motor sport is seeking to halt what it believes is totally unjustified legislation from the Department of Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (DEFRA) that will bring an end to motor sport events on farming land.
The MSA has joined forces with motor cycling governing body ACU and is channelling its efforts through the Land Access & Recreation Association (LARA).
Autograss, Autocross, Sporting Trials, Production Car Trials, 4x4 events and some rallies will be severely affected. The total loss of events could equate to 43 per cent of all motor sport activity in the UK. Already hundreds of events have been cancelled.
